Summary: As a child, Bella always felt second best when in it came to her twin brother, Emmett. Now years later, an accident has brought her back to Forks. Will she be thrust back into her brother's shadow? Or will she be finally be seen as something other than Emmett's sister.
Ramble: Ok, so this ramble will probably have some spoilers, but wow. It has been a few days since I've read this story, and man, oh man, I still remember most of what happened (at least I think I do). Emmett and Bella are siblings. Charlie is able to connect with Emmett more than Bella, and he just brushes her aside. Eventually, Bella and Renee leave for sunnier places. Renee is diagnosed with seasonal depression. Renee dies before she married Phill, though they were in a serious relationship, and Alice is his daughter. Bella is contacted when Charlie and Emmett are in an accident. Skipping over things, Edward is in trouble with his parents, and in general because of street racing. He and Bella start to hang out with each other. Bella learns a lot more about her brother during her stay in Forks. Later, we find out that there is some undercover work going on. By the end of the story, there are a few characters that I wanted to go in and smack, though things do work out for the most part. The abuse tag is there, for some of the violence that was hinted at, and the fact that there is some abuse, as Carlisle said, not all abuse is physical.

But when asked for a picture, she just wasn't comfortable and ended up sending a picture of her roommate instead. Edward and Bella eventually meet and their relationship develops from there. Bella's first day at school is very different, with Edward wanting to get closer to her at his first glance of her. Things escalate to the point where Edward doesn't really come back, according to the school. There is a mating ritual to set the bond permanently. So this is a slightly different story from the usual love at first sight type of thing. This story has the baser vampire 'monster' and Edward sharing the same physical body. Very intense at times, but a very cool and quick read.

Summary: Alice gives Bella a choice. Partying out in a crazy costume or a fun night at the fair with the gang. The fair seems like the easier choice, despite the stupid cold. Bella gets a big surprise though when she realizes Alice's big brother is home from college for the weekend. Rated M for graphic sexual scenes. Originally posted under Jayeliwood. Fluffy short story romance.
Ramble: Bella is still in high school, Edward is Alice's brother who is one year above her. Edward and Bella drive together to the fair, they end up having a good time, but Bella ends up twisting her ankle. There is a newborn attack in this story and a happily ever after ending for the couple. There is a surprise when they see the Volturi. Something very different from other stories, but at the same time a nice surprise.

Ramble: Short and sweet story. Love how it includes Edward's memories of school and growing up. In a way, this is like a mini Christmas package. It is well written, focusing on the 'current' and includes enough background for the characters. And everything is wrapped up nicely by the end of the story.

Valentine's Miracle

Summary: Edward meets the love of his life, but a tragedy threatens to take her away on New Year's Eve. Will he get a Valentine's miracle, or will he have to learn how to move on without her?
Ramble: I have to say, this is probably one of my favorite combination of authors. From what I can remember, all of their stories are well written, and the topics/characters covered makes me want to be attached to my phone/computer until I'm done. That being said, my productivity and studies thank them for this shorter story. It is enough to capture my attention, and short enough not to distract me too much when I'm working on other stuff.

Summary: Bella Swan has always "sensed" that she was meant for something more. When she moves to Forks, Wa., she finds out that she is more a part of the supernatural world than her dreams could have ever prepared her for. With help from the Cullens, Bella will embrace her destiny.
Ramble: When I got to the end of the story, I felt like I got tricked again, since I'm pretty sure I've read this story before. Well trick might be a strong word, but the story ends as a set up for the next story, which has yet to be shared on the site I read it from. :? I like the premise of the story, and where it was going, but at the same time I feel like it ended with a big cliff hanger. And the main reason why I mainly read completed stories is because I don't really like being left on the edge of a cliff. And honestly, other than that, this is a pretty cool story setup.

Fixing Past Regrets

Summary: Returning home for the first time in five years for her father's wedding was one thing, but she didn't expect this. A/H
Ramble: Not going to include the doctor tag this round. I mean Edward is a doctor in this story, but it doesn't play a big role in the story, it is just used to describe his job. This is a very quick read which has a really good summary. The ending is a little open, with a huge hint, and a general idea as to how it goes (not the annoying kind of open ended ending where you know the author is setting up for a sequel).

Ramble: Now that I think of it, I wonder what was up with the whole Volturi picture thing. I don't remember finding out what that was all about. Bella has special training, and a set of heirloom blades. She knows what the Cullens are. Tyler's van got replaced by a bomb in her truck. There are a few chapters where you deal with memory loss, but that gets fixed before the end of the story.

Ramble: A different, and stronger Bella! Charlie isn't really her dad, but he still tries to protect her. Turns out that she is super old, and is very different and powerful. She is able to shift to different things, including animals but is not restricted to cats (like the other stories I'm keeping an eye out for). Turns out she is running from 2 different groups, one group of her species as well as Aro's group.

Ramble: Wow, I have to say, I really liked this story! It looks like there is a second story, but it isn't finished yet... so I will probably wait a bit before reading that one. There is just something about being left on a cliffhanger that I just prefer to avoid. It is a very interesting dancing story, looks like the school Bella gets into is a school that focuses on dancing for students who are in the high school age range.

Ramble: A very different Bella. She has a very powerful gift and knows a lot more than the Bella in the original series. For the most part, the key events in the first book are covered. And can I just say how nice it is to read about a powerful Bella who can stand on her own?!

Ramble: A quick story where Bella is super smart and has a program named Charlie at her house. The story flips back and forth between the present and flashbacks of the past. Bella ends up in foster care, and that is where a lot of the abuse happens.

Ramble: I have to say, I love how absent minded some of the scientists are in this story! I mean, it makes sense, if people are super good at one thing, that sometimes they aren't the best in others. This is an older Edward (30's, almost 40 if I remember correctly) and a younger Bella (21, working on her undergrad). It starts out as a professional meeting via email that slowly develops into an internet relationship between the two. Over time it seems like Edward keeps lying to Bella, but Jasper comes in with an interesting perspective, since he is also older than Bella and Alice.

Ramble: This has a lot of short chapters. It starts with a high school reunion, and a couple has a chance to start again. Edward is a doctor who has twins, Bella is a librarian with a side job. Things are pretty good for the most part, except for Tanya, the ex-wife and some moments where Carsile makes some mean remarks (almost wanting to jump through and hit him or something... ).
