A place for me to keep track of the stories I read. I don't mean to offend anyone with my rambles or posts. Before I go on further; I would like to thank the authors for putting up their stories.
A quick warning. Some of my rambles (or even the way I label the posts) may contain spoilers. The rambles are my way of leaving myself a trail to follow in the future, if I want to reread the story (there are some that I read again and again and again...)

Cutting the Edge
Summary: Bella has a simple, quiet life. She owns her own hair salon in the quiet town of Forks but has always thirsted for more. A late customer finds her putting down the comb and chasing sexual chemistry. The charming and intense Edward Cullen is danger but somehow she can't help resist him. She just need to discover what he's hiding. EXB, Humans, Hot lemons, Rated M! **COMPLETE**
Ramble: I'll admit that this story threw me for a loop. The beginning was very calm, and then there is the mystery surrounding Edward. Who comes and goes from town. Bella wants to surprise Edward and is in turn surprised in turn. After this surprise, the story is super action-packed, and it was hard to put the story down until you reach the end. Very easy to read, and a little bit of everything to keep readers' attention and interest.

In My Brother's Shadow
Summary: As a child, Bella always felt second best when in it came to her twin brother, Emmett. Now years later, an accident has brought her back to Forks. Will she be thrust back into her brother's shadow? Or will she be finally be seen as something other than Emmett's sister.
Ramble: Ok, so this ramble will probably have some spoilers, but wow. It has been a few days since I've read this story, and man, oh man, I still remember most of what happened (at least I think I do). Emmett and Bella are siblings. Charlie is able to connect with Emmett more than Bella, and he just brushes her aside. Eventually, Bella and Renee leave for sunnier places. Renee is diagnosed with seasonal depression. Renee dies before she married Phill, though they were in a serious relationship, and Alice is his daughter. Bella is contacted when Charlie and Emmett are in an accident. Skipping over things, Edward is in trouble with his parents, and in general because of street racing. He and Bella start to hang out with each other. Bella learns a lot more about her brother during her stay in Forks. Later, we find out that there is some undercover work going on. By the end of the story, there are a few characters that I wanted to go in and smack, though things do work out for the most part. The abuse tag is there, for some of the violence that was hinted at, and the fact that there is some abuse, as Carlisle said, not all abuse is physical.

Cop Out
Summary: A past trauma leaves Bella believing no cop can be trusted. But when her safety is threatened, she soon finds herself growing to trust the determined one across the hall.
Ramble: A quick read with some lemons and some cop action mixed in. Bella is reluctant to trust in police officers due to her sister, Rose's experience with Royce.

Prince Edward
Summary: (COMPLETE) Bella thinks that Edward is just a single, homeless, violin player. Boy, was she wrong! Everything she knows changes when he is attacked the first time she brings him home to meet the folks.
Ramble: Bella is an officer, Edward plays the violin at the subway station. There is quite a bit of drama in the middle/end of the story. Quite a bit of time is spent looking for Alice, who is Edward's daughter.

Disorder in the Court
Summary: Bella has a minor traffic violation. She ends up with much more than a fine at the courthouse…
Ramble: The summary may be short, but is really accurate. Not only that, but it is interesting to read about how quickly things change, and how fast everything is cleared up. That, and the good old waiting in line, for a violation...

Flight 2804
Summary: Edward is a US Air Marshal working to protect our country from air attacks. Bella is a flight attendant on one of the flights he's monitoring. What happens when he can't get her off of his mind? Can he protect her and an entire flight from imminent danger
Ramble: This is another one of those stories that I know I have read before this blog was started. The twists and turns in this story are done really well, enough to keep it interesting, and not so many that it gets hard to keep track of. Falling for a flight attendant makes for a pretty good story line, and a really good read.

Turf Wars, Caught in the Middle
Summary: A threat forces Bella to move in with Mobster/Father Charlie. Edward works for him. What happens when a turf war between Billy and Charlie puts Bella in danger. Will Edward be the one to get her out?
Ramble: This story has a good balance of turns in the plot, and some of the assumptions that are made while reading. Towards the end, I found myself thrown off a little by some of the twists and turns. A really good story about undercover work, and how things get complicated really fast.

Ethics Be Damned
Summary:
Bella Swan is a 28 year old woman who is a narcotics detective for the Seattle Police Department. Bella is assigned to go undercover as a high school student to bring down a massive drug ring fronted by the elusive Drug Lord Aro Volturi. Bella soon finds herself falling for her English teacher Edward Masen...
Edward Masen is instantly attracted to this new student, but can't pursue a relationship with a young girl.
Will these two keep things in perspective or will their ethics be damned?
Based loosely on 21 Jumpstreet and Never Been Kissed
Ramble: Lots of twists and turns in this story. The plot is really well developed, and flows really nicely. Part of me is still wondering what happens to Bella and Alice at the end of the case, what had to be done, and how the investigation went. Romance is very well balanced with solving a case. I really like a line that was spoken towards the end of the story 'Romance is not an idea, but a state of mind'. One reason being, because Edward taught that to his students in his class, but just how true that statement is. A pretty long story, but the length is filled with an attention grabbing story that keeps readers glued to their screens.Friday, February 11, 2011
To the Moon and Back
Summary: When I took a job as a tour guide at the Kennedy Space Center I didn't expect to meet him. Astronaut Edward Cullen aka the "youngest and best looking one in NASA"...his words, not mine. Houston we have a problem.
Ramble: NASA... never though that it would be the setting of a story like this one. Things move kind of fast, and the lemon rushed a little, but when reading it, this is a good story.

In a World of Chaos
Summary: Edward Cullen, an Italian mob boss from Chicago. Isabella Swan, an FBI agent from California. One night stand turned into something more. One-shot, rated M, Lemons. Enjoy.
Ramble: A good example why one night stands are not the best things to have, especially after drinking with a stranger at a bar. The concept of lovers being on opposite sides of the law caught my eye. For stories with that kind of relationship, there are a few good ones under the Beka Cooper Series, and there is a set that is really good.... It can be found under Adagio To A Wolf on fanfiction, and is a collaboration with another author. That story is really good, I have already reread the story quite a few times already (so I really should add the story here...).
Undercover
Summary: Isabella Swan & Emmett McCarthy are two deadly agents. They go undercover in Forks HighSchool to prove that a teacher is a pedophile that assaulted many students. What will happen in that school? Who will they meet? Cullen family. They are teachers. / AH
Ramble: A really good CIA story. There are lots of different types of relationships, and a lot of trust in each one. Everything is done for the reason, of getting scum away from the public. Most of the story takes place while Bella and Emmett are undercover, and through this assignment, is when they meet everyone else. Not much else to say about the story, other than to go read and enjoy the story.

Leave From The Army
Summary: Edward is on leave from the army. Bella is nervously waiting for her husband, finally getting to see him after a long time. But when Edward gets home, he has a surprise for Bella. Oneshot. Cannon.
Ramble: I only have one question about this story; what was Ruth doing at the airport? It is probably just because the plot is focused more on Edward and Bella and Ruth was mainly there to comfort Bella so that she would not go crazy while waiting. There are a few flashbacks to some of the more important parts of the relationship.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Summary: One-shot. Edward, a lonely soldier in Iraq, can't make it home for Christmas. But a naughty picture of his wife Bella and some alone time are enough for him to have a happy holiday of his own. Rated M for lemons. A Christmas gift to you from me!
Ramble: By the end of this story, I was expecting Bella to randomly appear in the middle of Iraq. The summary for the story describes the story really well.

Broken
Summary: Can Bella's education as an RN prepare her for the struggle she will face caring for a wounded, traumatized vet? Or, better yet, will the war prepare Edward for the internal struggle he will battle with his pretty new nurse?
Ramble: A story that really highlights how difficult people can be sometimes. Edward has some problems in this story, that he and Bella have to try to meet in the middle for what they want. The story itself is a longer one shot and seems to speed up a lot towards the end the ending is really funny and quick. I do wish that this story is a little longer, perhaps covering some of the later days in Edward and Bella's lives and relationship down the line, but that is something totally different.

16 Hour Home Leave
Summary: Edward and Bella are happily married. The only problem is that Edward is in the military. But he's home for 16 hours. Well, that's as much as Bella knows. A surpise pops up, two actually. A/H, one-shot. Read and enjoy. Review.
Ramble: A nice oneshot about Edward coming back home after a tour. It is a very short story. Defiantly a quick read.

Negotiations
Summary: When a criminal from the past decides to take revenge on Agent Masen, his partner Agent Swan is caught in the crossfire. This game of questions leads to something neither one of them realized. Rated M for ADULT SITUATIONS. FGB for SassyKathy
Ramble: Revenge can take many forms. This one decides to use the threat of loosing a loved one to really get to Agent Masen. Love between agents who are working together is the main reason why this relationship has not progressed far, other than longing looks. And for the very same reason, the two agents are place in a situation where the feelings may never be developed.

No More Tears
Summary: On the day Bella's daughter turns three, she cant help but remember her life and certain events that lead her to this day, do birthday candle wishes ever come true? One can only hope.
Ramble: At first I thought it would be a Bella gets pregnant and so how gets separated from Edward. This is not really what I expected, but at the same time is a really good short story.

The Shooter
Summary: After his best friend is killed in Iraq Edward quits the army and lives a quiet life until the government come asking him to help defend the president from assination by The Shooter. Will he save him or will he be the one who needs to be saved. For PPOG
Ramble: Since I'm on a roll, I'll just keep posting the interesting completed stories that are linked in this author's profile for a bit. This is one of the stories I have read before, but before I started doing this blog. This leaves somethings open, and readers wanting more, but then again, lots of stories do that to me...

Bella Swan, FBI Babysitter
Summary: FBI agent Isabella Swan has to 'babysit' a witness in the Witness Protection Scheme but Edward Cullen is not who she was expecting. They have a history. Alice and Jasper and Jake also work for the FBI, Can they pose as a happy family? Lemons later. Rated M
Ramble: A little less intense than the other stories I read. Good old witness protection story, where the protector and the one being protected have a history that makes working together on the awkward side. The age old posing as a married couple to throw people off the trail. I really liked how Edward Sr, and Elizabeth Mason change their name to Cullen because of the witness protection stunt that needs to be pulled.

Spy High
Summary: One boy hiding his hurt and loneliness behind a mask of conceit and arrogance. One girl who grew up protecting her heart. Two different pasts and worlds. One school where secrecy is the top priority. What will happen when you put them all together? AH
Ramble: Ahh a good old story about young spies, going to school, working with cool gadgets... A really good spy story with a little romance mixed in. The ending leaves the future hanging a little, but finishes this part of the characters' lives really well
