More Than My Dearest Friend written by: BookRookie12
Summary: Elizabeth's father takes his six-year-old second daughter along with her older sister to London to tour and enjoy the parks, and, with her lively spirit and infectious smile, she makes a new friend. They grow up together, until a quarrel between them creates estrangement. When they meet again, four years later, what happens?
Ramble: I don't know why but I really like stories where they meet as children. While I don't have a copy of that story, I am thinking about getting a copy to read again. Because of the change in how they meet, parts of the story changed as well. There are some more scenes that make your cringe, and a few where your heart just goes out for the character. Everything works out in the end, and I believe the author has a story that focuses on the children from this story. For now, I'll probably wait for that to be a complete story before trying it... I find that I don't like waiting for the next chapter to be posted most of the time.
A place for me to keep track of the stories I read. I don't mean to offend anyone with my rambles or posts. Before I go on further; I would like to thank the authors for putting up their stories.
A quick warning. Some of my rambles (or even the way I label the posts) may contain spoilers. The rambles are my way of leaving myself a trail to follow in the future, if I want to reread the story (there are some that I read again and again and again...)

Letters Received
Letters Received written by: Lise Fahn277
Summary: When Frederick discovers a secret that Anne left behind at Kellynch Hall, things come to an early (and altogether happy) resolution. A light-hearted, mostly fluffy what-if.
Ramble: A short story that changes the whole story. It is amazing how much one small thing can change the whole novel. Very short, sweet, and to the point.

The End and the Beginning
The End and the Beginning written by: rosemary
Summary: None given on the site (A Happy Assembly - completed stories)
Ramble: An interesting 'what if' story (spoilers ahead!!). The Mrs. Bennett is actually the second wife of Mr. Bennett. Kind of explaining why the older two daughters are so different from the others. Some of the characters are really different from what I expected, because there are quite a few changes from the original story. The background of Jane and Elizabeth is revealed over time. There are many, many chapters in this story. A long read that is well worth the time. Darcy a duke, on top of owning Pemberley. With the length of the story, the chapter is wrapped up nicely. Quite a few changes and secretes in this story. There were a few times when I got confused, because of some of the new characters in this story.

The Sweetest Ruin
The Sweetest Ruin written by: hyacinthgirl (Amber)
Summary: The original low angst story has William Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet meeting for the first time in Sin City. The cast includes a less angelic Jane and nice Caroline Bingley. (Meryton Reading Room)
Ramble: The summary has a very good warning. As I read the story, I was glad that I was given a warning about the change in personality. Sometimes it drives me nuts when characters are really different from what they seem to be in the original piece of work, but with fair warning this one did not irk me as much. Most of the story kind of goes as expected, with the whole meeting in Sin City, but it is still a wonderful read from the beginning till the end.
It is separated into 4 big parts with multiple chapters in each part.

A Promise to Remember
A Promise to Remember written by: Wendi Triplet Mom
Summary: P&P and An Affair to Remember crossover. Elizabeth and Darcy meet as children. Over the years their feelings grow for each other, but what will happen when unfortunate circumstances and interfering family members seek to keep them apart? Regency
Ramble: Although I have not read An Affair to Remember, I have heard bits and pieces of the story. I really like how this story is written, and how it weaves in with the original Pride and Prejudice so well. A happily ever after story, with a lot of twists and turns.
