Behind The Images

Behind The Images written by: A Cullen Wannabe

Summary: AH After Bella Swan's best friend releases a portrait of her, it is purchased at an auction by Edward Masen, famous photographer and notorious modelizer. Edward seems to have an irresistible draw to Bella. Can Bella accept Edward's attention? Is there more to Edward's attentions than meet the eye? Originally by xx.Nikteche.

Ramble: I found this story while story hunting, and the banner really caught my eye. This author has some really good stories posted on different sites. This particular story is from The Writer's Coffee Shop. Although you have to register to be able to read the story, it is really simple, quick, and really worth it. Behind the Images puts two artists together, and follows them as their relationship matures.

Letters To Santa

Letters To Santa written by: TM Twilight Girl

Summary: Unusual letters to Santa Claus prick the heart of Forks, Washington's new Post Master, Edward Cullen. After several of these from this unselfish child, Edward is sure that he has found his soul mate. Unfortunately, she is too young. Can Edward's platonic love for this kindred spirit develop into true love as this mysterious writer matures into a woman?

Ramble: This is the first story from The Writer's Coffee Shop that I am posting. I started looking into this site after claims about ff.net taking stories off. Some of the authors mentioned where their stories can be found if it is deleted by ff.net, so I joined in to see what it is like. While it is not really the Christmas season, this story really warms the hear, and gives out fuzzy feelings no matter when it is read.

Edible Delectables

Edible Delectables written by: chrystelle belle

Summary: Bella's a baker who owns her own bakery, Edward's a hot, young doctor. Their worlds collide when Bella ends up in the hospital for appendicitis. It's rated M - so you know, it has mature themes and all that.

Ramble: A lot of authors put Edward as a doctor thinking or practicing in pediatrics (at lest that is what I am noticing more often now a days). Doctor and cooking, a perfect combination, especially with both sides of a high school crush. There are a few times when I wanted to go into the story and give out a few smacks, but after a while I realize that it is not something I can just imagine doing. I'll admit right now, that part of the reason why I read this is because of the title. It reminded me of a story I read in the past, and now that I think about it, I will be adding that title here soon. . .

Marching Home

Marching Home (.moon)written by: Ravyn (Ravyn .moon)

Summary: The war is over. Battousai is dead. Kenshin Himura is going home to a wife he hasn’t seen in five years. Things might change, but they also stay the same.

Ramble: I am taking some time off totally new stories, and rereading some that I really liked, or memorable. Ravyn has a lot of good stories on fanfiction and .moon. This is a quick read. The characters keep their characteristics from the original story. But the setting and plot of the story has changed.

Let Your Light Shine

Let Your Light Shine written by: LolaShoes

Summary: The honeymoon beginning at the fade-to-black and continuing through Edward and Bella's exploration of intimacy, communication, and how to achieve forever together. ExB, AU Breaking Dawn. Rated M for lots of lemons.

Ramble: Wow, definitely a lemony honeymoon story. With so many lemons packed into one story, I cannot wait to have time to read the sequel of it. It changes things around from the original story, but it is a good original take of the honeymoon.

All is Fair in Love and War and Love

All is Fair in Love and War and Love written by: siren of titan

Summary: BxE AU/...best friends who go their separate ways in anger, or is it for their own good? They find their way back to each other, but can they ever be? starts human.kinda hard to explain.better than sum. read/review. now Complete! ch 16 revised!

Ramble: I don't even know if anyone will be reading these. . . But anyways, I found this story a little confusing. Towards the end, in one of the chapters, there is a preview of the next chapter, except, the preview is not even in the said next chapter. Other than that, the story was pretty well written, and not too confusing. I am really sure that this will not be a reread story though.

The Anatomy Lesson

The Anatomy Lesson written by: kimpy0464

Summary: When Edward asks Bella to help him study for a test, she has no idea that it is a hands-on learning experience. Rated M for citrus fruits.

Ramble: At first, I thought that this story takes place during high school, but I was proven to be wrong as the story progresses. I was happy to read about a doctor. There is mention of the name of some bones at the very end, but in general, there is not a lot of medical/anatomy jargon.

The Course of True Love

The Course of True Love written by: AngryBadgerGirl

Summary: This is a one-shot for the Pirate Talking Twilight contest. It's Swashbuckleward! Bella is kidnapped and smuggled aboard a pirate ship, will she be saved from the clutches of Jagged James? M for lemons, which also prevent scurvy. E/B, A/H

Ramble: WOW!!! At the beginning, it was a little slow, and confusing to me, but after a while, things started to make sense. An Edward out at sea, to catch/kill pirates, and acts like a gentleman in the presence of a lady. . . Just the idea is enough to get me to reread the story.

Hear No Evil

Hear No Evil written by: BlueSea14

Summary: After over a hundred years alone, a deaf vampire Bella finds the Cullen family. With no memory of her human past, and no way to communicate with the world, how can they help her? Canon.

Ramble: Something about stories that have characters with disabilities that catches the eyes. Perhaps the fact that the readers imagine people characters that are 'normal' having to imagine or picture the characters as people with disabilities. The fact that they might be more dependent that in the original story. I'll admit, in the beginning, it was a little hard for me to follow what was being said, or thought but after a while it all makes sense.

Clipped Wings and Inked Armor

Clipped Wings and Inked Armor written by: hunterhunting

Summary: Well. . . the story was taken down from fanfiction, so there is no summary (if I find it, I will add it to this post). But it is still a really good read.

Ramble: A really good story, especially if one likes tattoos and piercings. The story is filled with twists that sucks the readers into the story. Edward and Bella both have pasts that they wish to forget, but with the support of each other and the rest of the group, they find closure by the end of journey.

In These Final Hours

In These Final Hours written by: Zeh Wulf

Summary: (AU)(rated R for chapter 12) Kaoru's tomboy lifestyle is ruined when she's forced to become the personal escort to the prince. Her duty is to protect him from a prophecized disaster... and duty failed can have a heavy price. (Complete)

Ramble: The first story that is not Twilight! Yes, I do read other stories. There is something about court live and the lies that are present to keep order. There is mention of magic, and sibling relations. A good story, even if you do not know the story of Rurouni Kenshin.

A Beautiful Complication

A Beautiful Complication written by: susancollins82

Summary: Bella runs back to Forks after escaping an abusive relationship, in a way she never thought she would, but along came Edward, who to Bella is A Beautiful Complication. AH, Lemons, swearing and occasional violence.

Ramble: Childhood crushes turned into love. There is some violence in this story. A meeting in high school, meeting up later in college type of story.

Every Last One

Every Last One written by: nowforruin

Summary: Bella Swan is charged with protecting an important asset in the FBI's latest mob case. She has chosen honor over a personal life, duty over family. What happens when she makes a bet she isn't quite sure she can win? O/S written for the Haiti Fundraiser.

Ramble: FBI agent working on a mob case. A very eye catching summary to me. There is something about undercover work that makes a story that much more captivating. Perhaps it has something to do with hiding weapons and information that gets people's attention.

Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down

Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down written by: sdfreeze

Summary: Edward protected Bella when she needed him the most. Will she be able to return the favor, when his life spirals into the dark world of distorted love.

Ramble: A good old childhood meeting story. The story follows Bella and Edward through the obstacles they go through to reach their 'happily ever after'. There is a slight BDSM undertone in the story, but not too much (personally, I would have liked having a little more of it, but still) it is a really good story.

FEEL

FEEL written by: sdfreeze

Summary: Bella meets the man of her dreams through her window at work, but she is trying to hide something. He is heir to an empire, but only if he is willing to live without her. This is a reposting of a story I removed awhile ago.

Ramble: This story really brings into perspective, of how people who are disabled feel in life. There are some twists and turns in the story, but for this story is really worth it.

Pride and Professionalism

Pride and Professionalism written by: LeahTheWeary

Summary: Bella Swan lands her first "real" job at Masen and Cullen Law Firm as a legal assistant. Edward Cullen is her hot tempered boss. How will she handle her unwanted, lust filled attraction to him? Political Correctness? Not so much! Mature themes. A/H

Ramble: There is just something about lawyers and court that paints a really interesting mental image. No court lingo. The focus is all on the plot, with mentions of court cases without getting into the details.

Right Before My Eyes

Right Before My Eyes written by: lovedforeternity

Summary: Edward Cullen is the hottest quarterback in the NFL. Off the field he's just a HOT MESS. Can his female agent help him change his ways before he's fired, or will she walk away forever!Submission for the LMSC 5 chap contest AH/ M language and Lemons

Ramble: Most of the football stories I read are stories taking place in high school. While this story is a little different, it offers a totally different view of the sport, and what a person has to do to stay afloat in the sport.

The Fan

The Fan written by: Pears13

Summary: Cubs playboy, Edward Masen, is leery of getting close to women, especially fans. When he is set up on a blind date with Bella Swan, a huge baseball fan, will the attraction be enough to break through Edward's wall? AU/AH Canon pairings. M for sexual sit.

Ramble: A player and fan fic looked pretty interesting, especially when the two do not mix naturally. This is a really cool view into the relationship of a famous person with a 'normal' person. The story really takes on the whole relationship from start to finish.

Labour of Devotion

Labour of Devotion written by: Rosette-Cullen

Summary: A collab between Kitschisme and Rosette-cullen Isabella Swan has lived as a servant her entire life. She has come to expect cruelty from her masters, but will her luck change when she is purchased by the mysterious, brooding millionaire Edward Cullen?

Ramble: At first, I thought that the story was not finished, but it is!!! While I expected a little more or different smut from the summary, I was presently surprised with what is in the story.

Here We Go Again

Here We Go Again written by: butterflybetty

Summary: Bella Swan is starting a new job with the FBI. Not only does she have to prove to the boys that she belongs but she has to face the demons from her past before they find her. MA for language and lemons B/E R/Em A/J Es/C

Ramble: While, browsing through completed stories, I found this interesting one. There are a lot of chapters, but the plot line is good. One thing really cool about this story is how well Bella can kick butt, stays strong, and the story seems like it can be possible in real life.

Relax

Relax written by: freakyhazeleyes

Summary: All Human lemon one shot. Bella needs help relaxing and Edward's the one who helps her. Requested by and Dedicated to damnprecious124.

Ramble: This one is a little steamy. It was part of my relaxing/message phase of reading. Really relates to stress from classes, and exams.

Chess on Ice

Chess on Ice written by: EloiseIsRunning

Summary: Written for the With a Burning Heart Contest. Bella looks on as her boyfriend Edward competes for the gold medal in curling at the Winter Olympics.

Ramble: This one caught my attention mainly because of the Olympic reference in the summary. I know it is a few days late, but still within a certain amount of time that makes it acceptable. Not too late to make it to this year's cut (as I am typing this, I am listening to recording of the games). It really is not a really big deal, but since the games just ended recently, I thought I would put this one up with the stories I have read.

Varying Shades of Difference

Varying Shades of Difference written by: hunterhunting

Summary: Haiti Relief Compilation contribution. Sometimes it's the people least assuming who are defying social conventions the most. OOC.

Ramble: After reading some of the author's other works, I was not really sure what to expect (other than it will be a really good read). The thought of there being different sides of people keeps the story rooted in reality. While there were some implied scenes that could have been an interesting read, the best was saved for last. There are a few places where outtakes can come in. . . I have read some of the other stories from this author and LOVED them, but have not had time to add it to my reading log (they will be up soon. . . before I forget about them. . . )

Love Among the Microbes

Love Among the Microbes written by: kimpy0464

Summary: Can a lab geek ever find the woman of his dreams? Well, he may be able to find her, but can he convince her to go on a date? Dr. Cullen does his very best to win over Dr. Swan's heart. Entry in 2nd annual Valentine's Day contest.

Ramble: Just reading the summary got me hooked into this story. Not only is it a short, easy reader but a very interesting lab story. The story makes reference to a lot of 'geek' stuff. There is a site that is mentioned, http://www.thinkgeek.com/. I could not help myself, and checked out the site. The plushies described in the story look so awesome, along with some of the other products on the site. If I could, I would totally ask for a few (ok, I would want ALL of them) of the plushies!!!!

Game Night

Game Night written by: farkle

Summary: Whn the cat's away the mouse will hire a hooker. My entry for the Love Through Lemons contest. AU-AH, ExB, Lemon, language

Ramble: Just found this as a recommendation from one of the blogs I follow. Have to admit, for a while I was thinking that this will be way more lemony, and was a little saddened to see where it left off. I will be hoping for a continuation, but then again, that does not happen often.

Peace Beneath the City

Peace Beneath the City written by: famouslyso

Summary: Bella covers the few clients left on Christmas only to discover one doctor who's home when he shouldn't be. Both are alone with only one thread tying them together. A kinship is found on that snowy Christmas day, but can it turn into something more?

Ramble: As mentioned before, I love characters in the medical field. While I was surprised to find a holiday story around this time of the year, it was a really good one-shot that made sense.
